While we're deep diving into the world of sugar and its connection to the flu season, there's another topic I can't skip. You know me – I'll call it as I see it, even if it means pointing fingers.
There's this SUPER popular supplement that folks often turn to during flu/cold season. And oh boy, do I see it often in my office.
Now, let me spill the beans:
1. First Ingredient? Sugar (fructose). Yup, our old nemesis right at the top.
2. Second Ingredient? Maltodextrin. Not only can this little number cause your blood sugar to spike, but it can also play havoc with your gut bacteria and even trigger allergic reactions. Yikes!
3. GMO Alert! The supplement most likely contains genetically modified ingredients. And I know many of you have reservations about that.
4. Synthetic Vitamins? Check. Natural is the way to go, but this supplement opted for the man-made route.
